Every state requires your LLC to name a registered agent with a physical address in that state, to receive legal notices and service of process. If yours lapses, your LLC can be administratively dissolved without anyone phoning you about it.

Why this page exists
Most formation services advertise a low or free first year and then renew you at $125 to $299. We publish one number. $99 is the price for year one, year two, and every year after. It is also what existing Launch customers pay from year two.
Switching from another provider
You can change registered agent at any time. Most states charge a small change-of-agent fee, which we pass through at cost and quote before you pay. We handle the filing.
Honest note
This is a standalone registered agent only. It does not form your LLC and does not file your annual report. If you want the report filed too, Shield is the cheaper way to get both.
