Refund policy

Our fee is refundable until we file. The state's fee stops being refundable the moment it reaches the state, because at that point it is the government's money and not ours.

Before we file — full refund of our fee

If you change your mind before your documents are submitted to the Secretary of State, we refund our service fee in full. Email us and we will confirm in writing.

If we have not yet paid the state fee, that is refunded too.

After we file — our fee only

Once the filing is submitted, the state's filing fee is spent. States do not refund filing fees for a change of mind, and we cannot recover money we have already handed over. We will still refund our own service fee if we have not completed the work you paid for.

We will always tell you exactly which stage your order is at before processing a refund, and we will show you the state fee as a separate figure so it is clear what is and is not recoverable.

Recurring services

Registered agent and multi-year terms are prepaid, not locked in. Cancel at any time and we refund the unused whole years. We do not prorate a partial year, because the agent service for that year has already been provisioned.

If we get it wrong

If we file something incorrectly because of our error, we fix it at our cost, including any state amendment fee. If an error was caused by information you gave us, we will tell you what the state charges to amend it and pass that through without markup.

Chargebacks

Please email us before filing a chargeback. Not because we will argue — because a chargeback on a filed LLC can leave your company in an odd state with the registered agent cancelled and the entity still registered, and sorting that out is worse for you than a refund we agree to.
